I’ve been trying to fight through these sicknesses that have been thrown in my face for the last couple weeks or so. First, The Flu and now Monster Cold. I am thankful that no one else in our house has gotten sick. They never get sick, it’s always me. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t want anyone to get sick, but really? Not even a sniffle?
I just scored a beautiful blue Ball jar at Goodwill, and was trying to figure out just what I wanted to do with it. I’d pinned this jar awhile ago, that someone else had pinned from the blog The Created Home. I didn’t know about the blog, but I love the idea of a jar of rotating goodies throughout the seasons; I predict it’ll be filled with flowers from the farmers’ market most of the time.
All you need: a hook, some twine or wire and a jar. Since I used twine, I used one of the screw-on lids to secure it a little better.
That hook has awkwardly been affixed to the wall since we moved in years ago! Finally, I perfect use for it!

I’m navigating my way through the amazing cookbook “Tartine” written by the geniuses behind the delicious San Francisco bakery. Now happily living in Michigan with my family, I miss the days when I could stand in line at the bakery in the morning, or grab a loaf of bread for dinner at a friend’s house. Miles and miles removed, I sometimes even find myself dreaming of sweet fruit galletes or a simple brioche. Seeing how I wake up bummed, I’m bound and determined to make every single thing, page 1 to 214, but not necessarily in that order.
