Good Reads: Print Magazines

UPPERCASE / Kinfolk / Lucky Peach / Anthology

My little project for my “Completely Pinteresting” feature this week turned into a bigger project than expected.  I didn’t even let the fact that I drove around to five different stores to find what I wanted get me down.

So, I’m going to share my favorite reads.  I am so all about online magazines, but there is something about curling up with a really good magazine and a cup of coffee, without distraction.  Because, that’s how I roll.  I am such a multi-tasking, multiple-tabs-open Internet surfer.  It’s quite squirrel-like, really.  In order to feed and nourish a healthy attention span, it’s important to foster these silent, focused moments.  Open the pages of any of these magazines, and it’s so easy to NOT be distracted by Twitter feeds, Facebook pages or even the most adorable video of a kid’s cardboard arcade.  (P.S.  You saw that , right?)

All four of these magazines are beautiful, and completely worth the subscription.  While they couldn’t be more different in overall aesthetic, they all share the foundation of inspiring content, beautiful images, and good writing.  You can’t go wrong.
