A Tartine cookbook giveaway!
I was going to wait until later in the week, but I can wait no longer! I get so excited about giving people this cookbook! The lovely folks at Chronicle Books (seriously, the nicest people!) are all about sharing the love and have sponsored all these cookbook giveaways here on my blog!
Clearly, I love this cookbook and am having an amazing time sharing my journey through the entire thing. I’m sure people are wondering where the recipes are, but I’d be sharing the entire cookbook which violates a thousand rules of copyright. (I did share three amazing recipes around the holidays for the bake-along series!)
For your chance to win the cookbook, here’s what you do: Take a look through the baking checklist, and leave a comment here letting me know what the first thing you’d want to make in the book! All comments need to be posted here by midnight on Thursday February 2, 2012 (EST) to be in the running. I’ll announce the winner this Friday (February 3), and someone will have this cookbook in time to whip up some chocolatey Valentine’s goodies!
shortbread! tiny, tiny shortbread!
I see eclairs in my future. They look awesome, plus I know my husband will eat most of them so I don’t eat them all!

Wow that looks good. Let me start with Chocolate hazelnut tart. We’ll just see what’s after that.
Oh mmm…I think it would be the Banana cream pie with caramel and chocolate – sounds delish!
I think I would definitely have to try to make the Blackberry tart with rose geranium cream! It just sounds so old-fashioned and beautiful – perfect for a tea party!
Hands down I’d work my magic on the Chocolate-Oatmeal-Walnut cookies recipe. And by magic, I mean my inability to make anything from scratch taste good. But in my quest to become a better person, I’m sticking to my New Year’s Baking Resolution, and this recipe seems easy to do (even sans magic).
Chocolate almond toffee – Yum!
I love Tartine and don’t mind blowing most of a weekend afternoon waiting in line for a treat. I would like to make croissant with their recipe. I have made croissant dough before but have a hankering for a savory croissant with Hatch green chile.
Thanks for the chance to win the book!

Since we are so close to Valentine’s Day and I have a few friends with birthday’s around the same time, I would make Lemon bars on brown butter shortbread. I think baking is one of the best ways to show how much you care about someone. The lemon sounds so refreshing and is a great precursor to Spring. Beautiful images and lovely blog! Thank you and Happy baking!
